Director of Engineering
KGO-AM / KSFO-AM San Francisco is hiring our next Director of Engineering. Applicants for this rare opportunity must have at least 10 years of broadcast engineering experience as well as extensive high power RF and directional AM expertise. Major market experience is highly desirable; this is not an entry-level position. Duties include direct responsibility for all technical operations of two heritage and very active talk-oriented stations, supervision of engineering staff, oversight of broadcast IT and telecom, as well as all tasks traditionally expected of a hands-on Station Engineer and Chief Operator. The successful applicant must be a team player, an innovator, a great communicator, have superior time-management skills, and possess the ability to think on the fly and outside the box. All applicants must have a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift and carry 50 pounds, and the dexterity to work with fine components and tools.
